I’ve loved tearing through thousands of zombies using the armor and busters in the previous Dead Rising games, and cannot wait for the chance to do it again in Dead Rising 3!
The above article was just posted on Variety.com about the state of the film industry in California. After reading it, these are my thoughts:
Even if it costs slightly more to produce in California, doesn’t it make some sense to just keep the work here? Moving productions out of state is expensive when you start factoring in plane tickets, gas prices, and living expenses for everyone involved.
Plus, when you’re out of state and shooting a film for eight months you might get a holiday break, which means more traveling expenses, therefore costing either the individual or (depending on the contract) the production more money.
Competition is healthy for every industry and it’s great to see other states building up their own studios and getting work, but I think it might be wiser to keep the productions that originate from California, in California at the very least.
This is a reimagined red mana shirt design from Magic: The Gathering. I think the quote sums up the aggressive, impulsive nature of red mages, and it’s always painful to see a Lightning Bolt or creature with Haste coming at you on Turn One.
"I’ll play a mana… then you take 3 to the face!"
The second image is the official red mana design, for comparison.
Other MTG Shirt I designed:
Marth is back to tear things up in the Smash Universe.
I just launched my online portfolio, davidjonesart.com! It has all kinds of cool stuff. You know you want to look.

If you like Super Smash Bros. this documentary is worth checking out. It covers the Melee community as it evolved from underground gaming movement to mainstream events like MLG and EVO. It also showcases several of the game’s most famous players and tells their stories.

Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead leads me to believe that Daryl is going to be killed off soon. Early in the episode, Patrick shook Daryl’s hand. The next time we see Daryl, he is licking his fingers and that leads me to believe he will turn into one of those bleeding eye zombies, mostly because Patrick did so without evidence of being bitten (and was presumably infected when shaking Daryl’s hand).
So does this mean there’s a new strain of infection? Has the virus/bacteria/whatever gone airborne? I guess we’ll see, but that’s my opinion on it.
I’m ecstatic that Mighty No. 9 is going to become a reality. It feels like a fresh start in a familiar world, and now that Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and his team have the freedom to create their dream game, the future looks a lot brighter. It may not be Mega Man exactly, but it seems to be the closest the world will ever get. Through Mighty No. 9, the spirit of the blue bomber lives on!
Mega Man fans have had to endure a dark period since Inafune’s departure from Capcom seemingly pulled the plug on all future Mega Man games, but after seeing the world band together time and time again to show support for a franchise we all hold so dear, it is absolutely incredible to see Comcept so boldly snag the torch.
As soon as I heard about the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter campaign I knew that the loyal community of Mega Man fans would emerge once again. It was no surprise to me that Mighty No. 9 was funded. What amazed me was how quickly it happened.
More traveling. Glencoe, Edinburgh Castle, London, Dublin (Trinity College), Galway. I found a Pac-man ghost in Edinburgh.
Here are three photos from ebay that demonstrate the bastardization of E3 2013 swag. Similar things happen all the time with exclusive items from Cons, but these practices make me sad. Turning a huge profit on something you receive for free takes a special kind of vileness.
On the other hand, I only need to spend $300 for a Wind Waker shirt.
